D and I took advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend with a nice long walk along the Burlington Bike Path. The bike path is one of my favorite spots in Burlington, there isn’t a bad view to be had and it winds along some of the most beautiful parks in Burlington.

This look is the perfect mix of the winter staples that have seen me through the cold and the spring pieces I’m itching to wear. A newly acquired vintage sweater, almost long enough to be a dress, I mean a Kardashian would wear it as a dress, was the perfect base for a floral trapeze dress and my faux fur snood. Mom’s old Frye boots and a big ole floppy hat (perfect for showcasing old brooches) brought everything together.

What signs of spring and/or spring fashion are you most excited for?

  1. Here in Colorado, we’ve had 40-50 degree temps for days and it is really starting to feel springy here, but it is supposed to snow tomorrow. Ugh. I am in love with your boots Cait!

    • Robin, I’m so jealous that you’ve crossed into the 50 degree range! We’ve had upper 30s and low 40s recently but of course the rest of the week we’re expecting a mix of snow and “wintery mix”… lovely!

  2. My favorite thing of yours lately.

  3. It was totally feeling like spring here, too, then, this morning it snowed. WHAT IN THE WHAT indeed. I love your darling fishtail!

    • You’re not alone Laura, Burlington weather is crazy. This morning started out sunny and relatively warm and it just started to rain/snow! Ugh!

  4. You look so cute in this hat! I love the broach! I am so ready for some spring too. We’re at least getting some warmer temperatures here in Dallas.

  8. Oh what a gorgeous hat! Love to see it with that gorgeous braid! xx

    • Believe it or not Aletheia I got this hat for .99 cents! I’ve been intent upon learning how to fishtail braid before summertime and I think I almost have it mastered!
