Old World Charm in Old Montreal

Sunnies: Dollar Store (at this point the cost per ware is less than a nickle), Scarf: Gifted, Trench: Forever 21, Button Up: Talbot’s (via Goodwill), Chiffon Maxi Skirt: American Apparel, Leopard Flats: TargetMontreal proved to be the perfect day trip and leopard print flats, a lightweight trench coat, classic Talbot’s stripes, and a semi sheer maxi proved to be the perfect outfit. It was comfortable enough to walk around the city in all day and when I traded the scarf for a statement necklace it was the perfect outfit for a romantic dinner.

We hadn’t even been in line 5 minutes before we got a table in Jardin Nelson’s gorgeous courtyard where a wonderful Jazz band was performing. They provided the perfect soundtrack for sipping cocktail al fresco and enjoying a delicious dinner for two.

I didn’t take any photos (it was a romantic dinner after all) but there are some beautiful ones on Jardin Nelson’s website. I highly recommend their mojito and duck leg confit; both are lip smacking good.

What’s your favorite day trip location? What day trips are you taking/planning on taking this summer?

  1. That is too funny that you were just on Montreal. I am going there this weekend for an assembly and will hopefully get some pics in. Old Montreal reminds me of my childhood. Such great memories. It looks like I’m going to have to make a pit stop to the old port this weekend.

    • You’re going to have such a great time in Montreal Aimee! Being in the city and having the chance to people watch totally revived me and got my creative juices flowing. Let’s schedule our style sessions soon because I have two pieces I love but have no idea how to style! I need your help and sartorial eye!

  2. YES! I think my schedule for next week is fairly clear…

  3. I love your outfit (as always) and that last photo is amazing!

    • Thank you Stephanie. Your blog has been providing me with a green thumb fix. Your garden is going to be so beautiful and I’m insanely jealous of your collection of fruit trees.

    • Thank you for stopping by Wore Out Kirsty! This look is made up of some of my favorite pieces, the striped Talbot’s top I’m wearing is a current favorite.
